Angela Woods

Lecturer - Health and Social Care FdA

Angela joined the FdA Health and Social Care teaching team at The University of Bolton in January 2019 having previously worked extensively across the NHS, further and higher education since 1997.

As part of her role she continues to remain involved in efforts to tackle health inequalities and improve health and wellbeing particularly in relation to alcohol/substance misuse and mental illness amongst inclusion health groups.

Angela has recently co-authored three research papers documenting a service user needs assessment carried out with colleagues from the University and the local NHS Homeless and Vulnerable Adults Service.

In September 2024 Angela secured a sought-after placement in Public Health as part of the Senior Population Health Fellowship programme. This role will help to draw together knowledge and practice and build a strong partnership with local teams involved in tackling health inequalities.
