The University of Bolton is always striving to build upon the strong international community that is already enjoying Bolton life.
To assist future international students, we are proud to announce a number of new International Excellence Scholarships available to full-time self-paying students* joining bachelors, taught masters, research masters and PhD study (for academic year 2024/25).
The maximum level scholarship extends to £6,000 for the duration of 3-year bachelors and PhD courses and £3,000 for 1 year/18 months masters courses (including research masters).
As a sign of our continued commitment to a globally inclusive campus, all full-time self-paying international students will be eligible to be considered for the Bronze scholarship.
The level of the International Excellence Scholarships is broken down into three bands (Gold, Silver and Bronze) based on the academic ability of the applicant.
*Government or employer sponsored students will not be eligible for this scholarship. The University reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship if CAS documents indicate a sponsorship award.
*The scholarship entitlement for year 2 and year 3 will be subject to passing all modules in the preceding year
*Final assessment of scholarship eligibility will be made by the Branch Offices and Admission’s Staff and are made at the discretion of the University. The relevant amount of scholarship will be deducted at point of payment i.e. you will pay the tuition fee minus the scholarship amount.
These scholarships shall extend to courses starting in September 2024. There is no separate application form requirement. International students will be automatically assessed for these scholarships at the point of application. The deadline for being considered for these scholarships will follow the same admissions deadlines.

We are proud to offer the International Excellence Scholarship to full-time self-funded students* joining taught masters courses in September 2023. The scholarship is worth £1,000 and will be awarded to students with exceptional academic results/achievements (usually a 1st class honours degree or equivalent).
The scholarship will be deducted at point of payment i.e. you will pay the tuition fee minus the scholarship amount. Final assessment of scholarship eligibility will be made by Admissions Team and are made at the discretion of the University.

International students are eligible to qualify for the Alumni Scholarship Discount if they have previously studied at the University of Bolton. This entitles the award-holder for a £1,000 fee waiver if they meet our criteria. The award is confirmed for the 2023/24 academic year.
