Apprenticeship
An Apprenticeship allows your employees to expand their skills with university study while still working full-time within your business. Learners then get designated time to attend university to gain off-the-job training. This will allow them to complete the requirements of their Apprenticeship, along with reviews and assessments.
This is flexible, depending on the course. It can be a one-day-per-week release or block delivery.
Yes, existing staff with job roles that match the target Apprenticeship standard can undertake an Apprenticeship programme. You simply need to sign up for the Apprenticeship programme with us and we will check the eligibility requirements. If you would like more information on this, contact our team at apprentices@bolton.ac.uk.
Apprenticeships can last from 2 to 5 years depending on the level of the Apprenticeship.
Learners need to be 16+ to be on an Apprenticeship. There are other requirements under the Government Funding Rules but we can help you with those, simply email us at apprenticeships@bolton.ac.uk.
You need to pay at least the National Minimum Wage rate for the Apprentice’s age.
We offer Higher and Degree Apprenticeships at the University, which vary from level 5 to Level 7 (Master’s Degree).
Training for the Apprenticeship programme falls under either the Levy or Co-Investment funding scheme. Not sure what that is? Email us at apprenticeships@bolton.ac.uk.
