Beverley graduated as a registered nurse in 1991. Her extensive experience within clinical practice includes burns management, plastic and hand surgery, surgical assessment and spinal injuries. Her most recent clinical position in the NHS was as a ward manager in a regional specialty. Her passion for education motivated her to achieve a MSc with distinction in Health Professional Education. In addition to her clinical experience, Beverley has also worked as the practice and professional development lead for a number of diverse areas within a busy NHS trust. She also supported the growth and well being of staff through her role as a Professional Nurse Advocate and is keen to utilize these skills within an academic setting.
Beverley ensures that the training that she facilitates is creative and enjoyable to promote the integration of theory into clinical practice and adds value to the service. Her goal is to ensure continuous improvement, empower staff and promote the safe delivery of patient care, with a resultant positive impact on both the patient and staff experience.
