Chris is currently the link Careers Adviser for the School of Arts. In 2019 she was awarded the student-led Award for Employability. She has a passion for careers guidance and supporting individuals to achieve their potential which has resulted in a career spanning work in schools, 6th form colleges, colleges of further education and ultimately University.
Her background includes continuous professional development through a PGCE and counselling qualification, working in staff development, and beyond that, management positions in the government pilot of the emerging service for adults on careers and operational management in the development of the Connexions service, working closely with the 3rd sector. This led to an interest in quality standards for careers information, advice and guidance, the challenges of collaborative working and driving through improvement.
