Dr Ayoade Onireti is a law academic with interests in international law & human rights, criminal law, torts, counterterrorism & human rights, sports law, and Comparative constitutionalism. Ayo holds a PhD in International Law and Human Rights from the University of Central Lancashire (UCLan).
Ayo is also a Barrister and Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Nigeria. In his early career, he worked as a legal practitioner in the public and private practice both in Nigeria and the UK, including DWF Solicitors Manchester. Ayo previously taught several law undergraduate modules at the University of Central Lancashire and the University of Salford. His recent work focuses on human rights generally and issues relating to rights and responsibilities in Nigeria and sub-Saharan Africa.
