Dr Nafisa Nalbandh

Dr Nafisa Nalbandh is an associate lecturer of Accountancy at the Greater Manchester Business School. Dr. Nafisa is a Chartered Accountant (ACCA Affiliate) and has a doctorate in Accountancy and Auditing. Nafisa’s role involves teaching various programmes at undergraduate and postgraduate levels. She is responsible for supervising postgraduate dissertations and also mentors learners’ students, providing academic and professional support and guidance.

Dr. Nafisa was nominated for the Outstanding Lecturer Award in the academic year 2021/22. She aims to provide the best experience to the learners through her inclusive learning and teaching approach. She is also assigned to develop an Accountancy Apprenticeship level 7 programme alongside Dr Carl Bridge and Dr Mo Sadiq.

Dr Nafisa is undertaking a postgraduate qualification in teaching and learning (PgCert) to become a fellow of the Higher Education Academy (FHEA). She wishes to gain practical experience to become an ACCA member and align industry practices into teaching and learning. She aspires to expand her research profile through research collaboration and publication, especially in the vicinity of her existing doctorate; Convergence of International Financial Reporting Standards, Corporate reporting, international standards etc.
