Hannah Kerry

Programme Lead for Mental Health Nursing - Senior Lecturer

Hannah qualified as a Registered Mental health Nurse in 2015 and worked primarily in crisis resolution and home treatment teams before coming into academia. She joined The University of Bolton in 2019, and has supported the growth of the mental health nursing degree apprenticeship since it first started in September 2020.

Hannah holds a Masters degree in Nursing and is currently undertaking a taught professional doctorate at Bolton. She is also a fellow of Health Education England.
Hannah is passionate about widening participation in learning and ensuring that higher education is available to all.

Research Interests and Research Subject Specialisms:
Hannah’s research interests include dementia, specific phobias and women’s healthcare. She is currently undertaking research into the lived experience of individuals with emetophobia and previously undertook research looking at learner belongingness on remote programmes.
