Lyndsey Vaughton

Student Member

Lyndsey is currently undertaking PhD research into Domestic Abuse, working in the School of Education and Psychology. She is also working as the Engagement Officer for the Postgraduate Research Students Society (PGRSS), which is the largest post-graduate society within the University. Lyndsey works alongside fellow postgraduate students and aims to engage and enhance the student experience at the University.

Lyndsey has recently started a PGRSS YouTube channel, interviewing academics regarding their educational journey, creating dialogue from staff at all levels which students can engage with.
In 2020, Lyndsey completed a BSc in Psychology, Psychotherapy and Counselling as a mature student at the University of Bolton and also completed an internship with Education which provided an insight of the relationship between students and the University and the importance of listen to the student voice.

Lyndsey works part-time at the University in the Students’ Experience Office as the National Student Survey Champion, analysing student feedback data both qualitatively and quantitively for presentation to senior staff members. This includes gathering students’ feedback from the last year with regards to Covid-19 and online learning.

Previously, Lyndsey served as a police officer for 16 years, specialising in child protection and safeguarding.
