Dr Jacqui Harrison

I am a Chartered Psychologist with over 10 years’ experience in teaching Research Methods and Developmental Psychology. I completed my PhD in 2009 at Lancaster University entitled ‘Bridging the gap between judgement and action; why don’t children practise what they preach?’ This explored children’s moral development.

My current academic responsibilities include being the module leader for undergraduate modules which include research methods, social and critical psychology, and children’s learning and development. I am the programme lead on the MSc Psychology (conversion) and teach the research methods and dissertation modules.

In addition to my interest in developmental psychology, I am also interested in educational research, specifically teaching and the student experience, in particular statistics anxiety and the transition experience for students within higher education. I am currently supervising a wide range of undergraduate dissertations.

I am also currently supervising three education doctorates (EdD).
