Dr Georgia McCrone (PhD, MA (LANC) with distinction, BA(Hons), PGCE PCET, FHEA, FSET, QTLS) is a Lecturer in the School of Education in the Faculty of Professional Studies. She lectures on modules across the BA (Hons) in Education and Learning, including modules on educational policy and educational research, and supervises undergraduate dissertations. Georgia also supervises postgraduate dissertations and supports the doctoral programmes and staff research outputs for the School.
Georgia has worked across a range of higher education and further education contexts, including teaching GCSE and A-Level ICT and Business, programme leading on Initial Teacher Education programmes and delivering on research training programmes for school teachers in a Higher Education Institution.
Georgia is a Fellow of the Society for Education and Training and a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy
Her research interests include:
Educational policy analysis
Educational research methodologies (including Critical Discourse Analysis and interdisciplinary approaches)
Professional development in early career lecturers
Pedagogies in Further and Higher Education
Educational technologies
Widening participation in Higher Education
