Mr Muthiah Jayachandran earned his Bachelor’s degree in Physiotherapy at Dr MGR Medical University, Chennai, India in 1999.
Following this he completed his
· Post Graduate Diploma in Psychology at Madras University, Chennai, India in 2001
· Diploma in Business Administration at College Of Technology, London in 2004
· Post Graduate Diploma in Physician Associate Studies at University of Manchester in 2016
· Non Medical Prescribing at University of Bolton in 2019.
Mr Muthiah Jayachandran started his career as a physiotherapist in India and Dubai before moving to United Kingdom in 2003 to pursue his postgraduate studies. He joined the NHS workforce as Senior Physiotherapist at North Devon NHS trust in 2005 before he signed up as a Specialist Physiotherapist at Salford Royal NHS Trust in 2011. He then moved to St Helens & Knowsley NHS Trust in 2016 to pursue his Physician Associate studies. Following his training, he has taken a split role as an academic at the University of Bolton and as a Physician Associate at a general practice in Warrington.
He is also an Honorary Lecturer for PA clinical placement at Bolton NHS Trust.
Shyam is multilingual and speaks English, Tamil, Telugu and Malayalam.
