When it comes to University, there is a lot is going on, both in the lead-up to starting and while studying. While this may leave you feeling overwhelmed, there are a wealth of support services available to you at Bolton. We are here to put you, the student, first!

Student Services and Life Lounge

Our Customer Service Excellence Award-winning student services team are here to support you from the moment you enrol and throughout your time at University. They are here to help you with day-to-day matters; our specialist support services include:

Disability Service
Student Funding and Finance including Budgeting Advice
Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS)
Bursaries, Scholarships and the Student Support Fund
Mental Health and Wellbeing including, Mental Health Advisors, Counsellors and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy based in the Life Lounge
Multi-faith chaplaincy
Pets as Therapy
Academic Advice including complaints, mitigating circumstances, appeals and timetables
Accommodation advice (via Orlando Village team)
Signposting to immigration and Tier 4 advice

Library, IT and study support

As you would expect, there are plenty of print books, ebooks and electronic resources available in our library. The dedicated Customer Service Excellence Award-winning team library team are also here to advise you on getting the most from the resources available to you. There is also a variety of open study facilities, group working areas and computing suites available to students throughout the year.

All our students are allocated a Personal Tutor to discuss academic and non-academic matters with. In addition you’ll have access to peer-assisted study sessions, our online academic support platform LEAP Online and our virtual learning environment, Moodle to support your studies.
