University of Bolton, why we are the right choice
Location - Bolton, Greater Manchester
After graduating with a BSc Nursing in 2014, Yugasubitha (Yuga) worked as a staff nurse in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) (PSG- 1300 bedded multi-specialty hospital in India. Yuga then progressed to teach community health nursing at PSG College of nursing. Moving forward, she joined as a practice educator at the local hospital whilst working as a Clinical Nurse at adult nursing units.
Yuga then did her Masters in nursing with the University of Central Lancashire in the UK and joined at Rotherham NHS foundation trust.
Yuga has been awarded as a Best National Social Service volunteer award by the PSG College of nursing affiliated to Dr. MGR Medical University in India. Participated and organized many professional events both in India and Switzerland (HESAV and La Source nursing school).
Yuga joined The University of Bolton in 2022 as a Lecturer in nursing at the Bradford satellite centre. She has a particular interest in diabetic care and nursing education. Yuga loves to provide deep and evidence-based learning experiences for the nursing students.

Diabetic foot care, coping measures used by nursing students and nursing shortage

• Have conducted primary research on ‘The structured teaching programme to promote coping measures among first year BSc nursing students in 2014’ at Dr. MGR medical University, India (2014).
• Have conducted secondary research on ‘Assessing the knowledge regarding preventing measures of diabetic foot in type 2 diabetic patients’ at UCLAN, Preston, The UK (2020).
